Tuesday, February 2, 2010 .

haven't been blogging much.
End of sem is approaching, lots of deadlines + presentations.
Plus prog stuff.
Tiringg...

but anyways, my parents bought us a synthesizer.
Actually wanted a keyboard, but my dad says the sound quality and functions are waaay better.
Its more convenient cause i can practice at night while everyone is asleep.
I'd say it sounds really good compared to a keyboard.
Like more real, but the keys feel isn't as good as normal piano, its lighter.
Some songs easier to play, some pieces abit harder to play.
One thing about the synthesizer is that it has to be connected to speakers ( or a earpiece ), it doesn't have built in speakers like a keyboard.

Some of the functions are like more for the guitar instruments, like the cutoff and resonance.
Makes the electric guitar part sound damn good.
The drums also also damn good ;D
still learning how to use, but its mostly for making your own original tracks.

The recording part is the best part about the synthesizer.
For each track, it can record up to 8 layers of instruments in a midi format, and is editable via the PC software that came with it. But meh, not much time to play around with it.
Maybe during sem break ;D

Ohh and i got to play on a baby grand piano, the keys are little heavier than
my piano( no idea whats it called) and the sound is a little richer and louder
(when the lid is off especially ).

Aim in life : when i get my own house i'll save up enough to buy a grand piano for it =)

i may seem like a nice person most of the time,
but if you think i'm a pushover and can easily manipulate my friends against me
you're wrong.
au revoir ; - 4:53 PM
