THURSDAY

Dolly stayed over from the night before, did completely no studying at all.
Went swimming early afternoon, went back to rest, we're supposed to send Grace off
at the airport but Dolly wanted to go home first and we ended up nearly late. -__- ended up cabbing to airport.
Come back soon Grace, we'll all miss you !

So anyways, Huey Meen came back to S'pore on the same day and we super last minute decided to meet up for dinner and visit the "Chun dao he pan" thing at marina, the floating platform place so she could take photos.

Had dinner at Soup Spoon for the first time, i think it's pretty overrated.
Bought a pair of havaianas at NUM ( 20% off !) and two books by Tess Gerritson cause MPH@ raffles was having this insane booksale.

First time going to this sorta event, had some interesting stuff like the malt candy scupture thing.

That guy used just a ladle to create these.

its super big, completely made of malt candy. Could see parts of it melting >_>

After deciding that the place was quite pathetic and fail, and HueyMeen only took like 19 photos,
we went back to raffles to chill at MOS.
Bought MILK TEA and started camwhoring lol.

Wanted to get some chocolate for someone but all the shops were closed already, except some weird muffin shop.
Guess i'd buy her kinder bueno on the way to school tomorrow ;D

life's pretty great.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010 .

CNY was pretty crappy.
Didn't visit one side of the family cause my dad has issues with his side of the family.
So yeah, didn't visit much.
Plans were canceled.

Fell sick on monday with flu, fever, cough and sore throat.
Life sucks, thank god CNY comes with good food.
I didn't even bother counting my angpows cause i wasn't really interested.
CNY isn't about the money we get anyways.
But somehow lots of people think overwise.

i'm still unsure.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 .

haven't been blogging much.
End of sem is approaching, lots of deadlines + presentations.
Plus prog stuff.
Tiringg...

but anyways, my parents bought us a synthesizer.
Actually wanted a keyboard, but my dad says the sound quality and functions are waaay better.
Its more convenient cause i can practice at night while everyone is asleep.
I'd say it sounds really good compared to a keyboard.
Like more real, but the keys feel isn't as good as normal piano, its lighter.
Some songs easier to play, some pieces abit harder to play.
One thing about the synthesizer is that it has to be connected to speakers ( or a earpiece ), it doesn't have built in speakers like a keyboard.

Some of the functions are like more for the guitar instruments, like the cutoff and resonance.
Makes the electric guitar part sound damn good.
The drums also also damn good ;D
still learning how to use, but its mostly for making your own original tracks.

The recording part is the best part about the synthesizer.
For each track, it can record up to 8 layers of instruments in a midi format, and is editable via the PC software that came with it. But meh, not much time to play around with it.
Maybe during sem break ;D

Ohh and i got to play on a baby grand piano, the keys are little heavier than
my piano( no idea whats it called) and the sound is a little richer and louder
(when the lid is off especially ).

Aim in life : when i get my own house i'll save up enough to buy a grand piano for it =)

i may seem like a nice person most of the time,
but if you think i'm a pushover and can easily manipulate my friends against me
you're wrong.
